Insomnia Much.
Since my mind keeps a ramblin’, I might as well write.
Not that this will be the most interesting piece of (somewhat) literature you will ever feast your eyes upon. I’m just here for your entertainment, really.
This semester has had its definite ups and downs. From Econ nights to early morning video production, I can honestly say that I have worked my ass off thus far.
You know what though? I think I deserve to have more fun. No Lauper pun intended. Sometimes, I don’t think I give myself enough credit. Then again, that’s just human nature. We all believe that we are only skirting by with the minimum; we are our worst critics. Some days I feel like Simon and others more like Paula.
We all deserve to be happy. It’s one of the pursuits that the Founding Fathers felt was crucial to the well-being of the American society. What makes me happy, you ask? I wish I could tell you.
I think I will make a short list here describing some of the things that do make me happy.
1. Music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdVMGKOFIwY&ob=av2n)
2. Cafe Lattes
3. Accomplishing daily goals
4. Making people laugh
5. Laughing also
6. Men (Well, some men.)
7. Men with facial hair in particular
8. My mom’s sweet texts that never cease to make me grateful for how lucky I am
9. The friends that I know genuinely care for me, which is hard to come by these days
10. Bridesmaid Dresses (ha)
So, again, this is a short list. There are plenty of other things that I could include. My intentions are not to bore you, my dear reader, to tears though.
I have been thinking recently that it might be fun to write novels about an awkward teenage girl who realizes that her ugly duckling years are quickly wearing off and men seem, as of recent, notice her. Then again, there are one too many books with this as a theme. Maybe I can make her an aspiring Egyptologist who desperately wants a Siberian Husky to share a cabin with her in the mountains of Colorado Springs. That doesn’t seem to be portrayed often.
Shit. This book may end up being about me after all. Imagine that. Egocentric city, yet again. Anywho. Keep calm and beat exams.
G’Night.
